When you have a problem with one particular site, a good "first thing to try" is clearing your Firefox cache and deleting your saved cookies for the site.
1. Bypass Firefox's Cache
Use Ctrl+Shift+r to reload the page fresh from the server.
(If your site uses a lot of external content, you could clear Firefox's cache completely:
orange Firefox button or Tools menu > Options > Advanced
On the Network mini-tab > Cached Web Content : "Clear Now" )
2. If needed, remove the site's cookies in this dialog
While viewing a page on the site, right-click and choose View Page Info > Security > "View Cookies"
Then try reloading the page. Does that help?
Also, more generally, you might want to consult this article: Fix problems that cause images to not show.
Thank you for your quick reply. Neither helped. I have always cleared my caches, regularly. It appears that I had a lot of cookies and cleared them all and then refreshed and cleared cache again to no avail.
I don't understand why I would have these issues now, when up to 1:30 a.m. (this morning) the website was displaying just fine.
The Images are not blocked, they are however png format and displaying fine on chrome which i hate. So if i could just get my firefox back, i would be so happy.
Are there any error messages related to this in the Web Developer > Error Console (Ctrl+Shift+J)?
Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
- Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
- Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
A standard diagnostic to bypass interference by extensions (and some custom settings) is to try Firefox's Safe Mode.
First, I recommend backing up your Firefox settings in case something goes wrong. See Back up and restore information in Firefox profiles. (You can copy your entire Firefox profile folder somewhere outside of the Mozilla folder.)
Next, restart Firefox in Firefox's Safe Mode (Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode) using
Help > Restart with Add-ons Disabled
In the dialog, click "Start in Safe Mode."
If the site works correctly, this points to one of your extensions or custom settings as the problem.
To further disable add-ons, you can try here:
orange Firefox button or classic Tools menu > Add-ons > Plugins category
Any change?
There's a gazzilion errors in the error console. We're getting somewhere.
Warning: Cannot specify value for internal property. Error in parsing value for 'border-right-style-rtl-source'. Declaration dropped.
How do I fix those?
Hmmm ... it appears there is no javascript running on that page. How can that be?

Many style errors arise from properties that are valid only in particular browsers. Those might or might not affect Firefox. Certainly background and background-image would be critical.
Do you use border images? There were some changes in Firefox 15 related to those. See: I just uploaded Firefox 15.0 and discovered that my pages border-images stopped working. Why?
It's like my index.php file for my template is messed up. It's not calling all my css template files. just the one for positioning ... I wonder how that happen?
I have a backup of that index file and uploaded it with cpanel, but that didn't fix it either. Is there a way to restart all the scripts at the server level?
I have been using firefox and firebug to edit my template css files solely, and it was working last night.

I think this update has brought attention to my template (which may have had some obsolete css scripts - not sure how firebug could have led me so astray), which to me is sort of good news. I would have been devastated if this update was released after my website was published and then crashed for all people using firefox.
So, I'm looking at other templates right now and hopefully I can publish my data again soon with better css styling. Funny thing is I'm surprised I'm the only one using Firefox and this obsolete template. grr
I really appreciate all your help jscher2000. Thank you.
I have this problem too. Mozilla.org itself is throwing CSS errors all over the web console...
Same deal with Safe Mode.
Firefox 15
You can ignore (CSS) errors in the Tools > Error Console.
Those errors are only useful if you develop websites and want to check the HTML/CSS and JavaScript code for errors.
Most errors are code for other browsers like IE or browsers on other platforms or just typos or the result of bad coding.
Only errors about no longer supported (i.e. obsolete) -moz prefixed CSS properties and severe JavaScript errors need attention.
Hi jaraxle, you wrote I have this problem too. Mozilla.org itself is throwing CSS errors all over the web console...
The original problem in this thread was that some images do not appear on a particular site. If you are having that problem, please post a link to the site that has the problem.
If you have a different problem that prompted you to open the Error Console, it might be best to start a new thread:
Images don't display on some sites. Since you are requesting a link jscher2000, I found this one where I don't see the shoes in FF:
But I can in Chrome.
P.S. These are not my shoes its just a data sample.
That image uses a Flash object that opens if you click it to zoom the image.
It starts with a normal image that change if you hover one of the thumbnails.
Do you see those shoe images in Tools > Page Info > Media ?
Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
- Don't click the Reset button on the Safe mode start window or otherwise make changes.
Thanks for your help!!!
I resolved this issue with cor-el's tip to try Tools > Page Info > Media. I thought that maybe adblock was disabling the image, so I was keen to start it up with all that stuff turned off, and adblock had nothing to do with it.
As it turns out, apparently firefox has its own independent image blocking mechanism? I saw in Tools > Page Info > Media that images from e248.akamai.net were being blocked. Unchecking it made the shoes appear. My install is extremely old, since like FF 2.... I think mozilla before that. Its hard to recall, but I think the context-menu was different in those days and you could block images. I didn't think that was still active...
