When I Open AOL Mail in Firefox, all I get is Bing Searchbar.
I downloaded the Firefox browser. I open a new tab and go to AOL. When I try to open any of my AOL mail, the body of the e-mail just contains the Bing Searchbar, not the actual body of the e-mail. I uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox but problem still exists.

This happened to us, we went to Tools, then Add-Ons, scrolled down and found a Bing tool bar add on, deleted it and that fixed the problem.

OMG thanks so much for that solution! It worked! Thanks again! Still don't understand why it was happening, I mean, this was my AOL mail. Every time I tried to open an e-mail, the body of the mail would show up for a millisecond and immediately turn into the Bing Searchbox. Very frustrating. But your solution worked!
i have officially removed the bing search bar, but it still shows. i even went into remove programs and nothing is there...
problem. it says i m not logged in...
Problem is: my add-on's does not show a BING anything...but the BING search comes up every time I try to open an email item (AOL Mail)...hence I will not be able to use Firefox at all until a solution is found...Google Chrome, here I come!
The Bing Searchbar came back in my AOL mail. All attempts to get around this problem have failed. I've tried everything recommended here. I have given up and uninstalled Firefox and have been successfully using Google Chrome the past several months with no problems at all.
Thank you so much for that info! It worked! I was so frustrated. I guess Bing and AOL are at odds with each other and maybe that's why the spamming (or whatever you call it) stuff was happening?
I have this problem too BUT there is NO Bing ADD ON. This also shows when I open a new Yahoo email and when I open a new tab for firefox.
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
