I was having a problem creating a new email account until somehow I managed to achieve that while on FireFox.

I established my primary email account on mail.com more than 30 years ago, but eventually opened a second account on gmail, as a back-up when mail.com was not accessible, or when I needed mail.com tech support. I am able to access my gmail account both from mail.com and from Google. (Over the years, I also created a Credit Karma, which is located only on gmail, although – because it was always trouble-free – I only realized it was located on Google until I experienced a problem accessing that account recently. So I must have been on FireFox when I created my new account, as well.

I did receive confirmation for the new account in my regular mail.com mailbox, but in retrospect, it may have come from FireFox, although I'm not sure of that. It had taken me so long to create the account, I was too relieved (or excited) to notice.

Correct passwords for each of the above email accounts is available in my Password Record File in Safari Preferences/Passwords.

The email address for the new account is cbt.sac@mail.com. Therein, may be the source of problem. I have only been able to test the account successfully one time. All three accounts (original mail.com . . . gmail account . . . and new mail.com) are available in my mail.com log-in box . . . along with the coded (i.e., dotted) passwords. But the password for the newest account does not work., and so far, it has only worked one time after I entered it manually.

At this point, I am not only frustrated, but feeling brain dead regarding use of the new account, because in opening it , I was hoping it would be reliable — not complicate my email communication goals.
