Greetings all. I just noticed today that my Webutation icon is missing from my browser. I've tried uninstalling and reinstalling the addon, and it still doesn't show up. I'd really like to have it back. Any ideas on how to restore it? Thanks!

There are other things that need your attention.

Note that your System Details List shows multiple Shockwave for Director plugins. Adobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in, version 12.1.3.153 Adobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in, version 12.1.5.155 Adobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in, version 12.1.2.152 You can find the installation path of all plugins on the about:plugins page.

Where does this icon normally appear?

You can try to click the Restore Defaults button in the Customize palette.

Hi, cor-el. I'm not sure what I can do to resolve the multiple shockwave for director entries. I've done the about:plugins thing to find their location, but the computer doesn't find them. They're not listed under the add/remove programs feature, either. Would uninstalling Firefox solve it upon a reinstall?

Also, about the Webutation icon, it sits up on the tools bar. I usually put it right beside my AdBlock Plus icon. I did the restore defaults thing, and it still isn't there, nor is it in the list of things that can be arranged. Does it need a un/re-install of Firefox to solve it, too?

Thanks for your help.

Try to delete the pluginreg.dat file in the Firefox Profile Folder and maybe addons.sqlite as well to reset the plugin registry databases.

See Re-initializing the plugins database:

You can use this button to go to the currently used Firefox profile folder:

It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.

Delete the extensions.* files (e.g. extensions.json, extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

New files will be created when required.

See "Corrupt extension files":

If you see disabled or not compatible extensions in "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the Tools button at the left end of the Search bar to check if there is a compatibility update available.

If this hasn't helped then also delete possible addons.json and addons.sqlite files.

Having more than one version of a program may cause issues.

Grab the uninstaller from here: Uninstall Flash Player | Windows Uninstall Flash Player | Mac Then reinstall the latest version.

Silly question, did you look in the about:customizing page?
