Firefox crashes
My computer crashes every 30 minutes to one hour only when I am connected to the internet. It opens backup on its own but seems to restore everything back to where it was except the page I was on. I ran malware bytes, McAfee, and windows defender off line but it does no good. It won't run them on line as the computer keeps shutting them down. I run both a quick scan and a full scan but to no avail. If I call Acer computer or McAfee they both want money to fix the problem. My computer is only 2 years old.

Do you mean that you get a BSOD or is it only Firefox that crashes?
I'll be answering my emails when all of a sudden the screen will go black then back to normal, then black then a bunch of horizontal lines then the screen goes blue with white lettering which goes away before I can read it all then it shuts down then opens back up in the safe mode type of screen. If I leave it alone it starts back up opening windows normally. If I leave it alone it does this over and over about every 30 minutes.
hello, maybe that's an issue with hardware acceleration - please try updating your graphics driver, or in case this doesn't solve the issue or there is no new version available at the moment, disable hardware acceleration in firefox > options > advanced > general.
Make sure that you have the latest drivers for your graphics display card.
If there anything in the Event log about the cause of these Windows crashes?
Yeah, this is a BSOD. It's when something goes wonky in Windows. Can be quite severe at times depending on the circumstance. Additionally, you may need to seek assistance from Microsoft or some other 3rd party site. We can't help you here. Some contributor may be willing to help though. cor-el above, is one of the BEST support helpers on this site so he'll be sure to respond when he can.
I tried everything I know to fix it.
Did you follow cor-el's steps?

I had already updated my drivers and that did not work.
Have you disabled hardware acceleration?

I tried what you suggested and it did not help a bit.
Did you look in the Windows Event viewer for information about the BSOD Windows crashes?
Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
All these programs have free versions.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

Okay but this will take some time.
Microsoft essentials says it is the W64.ROVNIX.GEN!C BUT IT DOES NOT REMOVE IT.
