Force the ability to *NOT* DUPLICATE a Bookmark?

more options

I noticed when I first started on 27.x that Firefox was *NOT* allowing the creation of duplicate bookmarks. For example if I have a Folder "A" and "Folder B".

A Bookmark resided in "Folder A"--if I went to save the same Bookmark in "Folder B" it WOULD "Save" (but simply move the bookmark out of "Folder A" into "Folder B" (not allowing the duplicate to be created---however allowing the "New Location"

Somehow, I have lost this functionality. Can anyone tell me how to turn this back on? Was not an extension. It *MIGHT* Have been *BEFORE* I started to use "SYNC" (would SYNC tamper with this?).

However, in a nutshell, simply don't want duplicates. And if I do create a new Folder, will simply create the new in "B" (without error, etc.)

Thank you!!

Firefox should detect when you visit a bookmarked site and color the star in the address bar yellow. From that point, you will see the Add Bookmark dialog changes to the Edit Bookmark dialog.

Is your Firefox not recognizing previously bookmarked sites?

If you (temporarily) disable to sync bookmarks, does that have any effect?

There have been issues in the past with creating folders and possibly new bookmarks manually where Sync kicks in too quickly causing all kind of issues.

I've noticed an anomaly lately (might also be "SYNC" related.

Several (heavily flash based sites). For example dominos.com

If I open the Browser and LOgin to my Master Password the site becomes non-functional. (it won't show anything but a blue page. (blue links above are "Live"---but don't go to the correct location, just reverts me back to blue page. Could this be a sync issue (have yet to test on multiple profiles).

Different profile, did notice I don't get as many "issues" with the Browser with Sync Disabled. (I'll post a screen shot of Domino's example (have to restart with both "PW" login / No PW Login.

**********************************************
I have only tested "once" (to post screen shot) and it appears the 29x fixed this (even though I'm running with the rervert back to old skin option). I'm keeping this up...in case others have...or need to come back for more questions.....think Sync is causing (???)---my belief Sync=Only occurs when logged in with Master Password correct?
