Why can't I delete extension "HP Smartweb Printing"?
Of all the several extensions which I have installed, I have now trimmed them to five. One, McAfee WebAdvisor, is required because my carrier Verizon FiOS stipulates the use of Verizon Internet Security Suite Multi-Device, which includes McAfee WebAdvisor. The others are NoScript, Flash Control, Norton Identity Safe, and HP Smart Web Printing. I have never used HP Smart Web Printing, don't want to use it, and I am trying to prune it off the list. The fewer HP apps on my underpowered laptop the better.
But there is no control button, i.e. Delete, Remove, to do that. I have searched through all Mozilla's help screens, back-end pages, etc., but there is no control, and no how-to for this issue.
Note the alert on the Extensions page, "HP Smartweb Printing could not beverified for use in Firefox and has been disabled." Great. But does that information help? I have attempted to upload a screenshot of the Extensions page, but I cannot get any response from the Browse... button, below.
How do I delete it?

HP Smart Web Printing, was probably installed with HP Printer drivers. Please verify that you do or did use a HP printer with that computer.
Extensions that do not have a "Remove" button are installed globally by other software and are not under control of the Firefox extension manager. Globally installed extensions are usually found via a registry scan or are installed in a location that Firefox scans for installed extensions.

Extensions installed globally need to be removed via the settings (Options/Preferences) of the program that has added this extension or this program has to be uninstalled via "Control Panel -> Programs". In Firefox you can only disable such an extension.
You can find the install location of a specific extension in the extensions.json file in the profile folder. You can open the extensions.json file in the Scratchpad and search for this extension. The descriptor field should list its install location.
