Unable to stream Amazon videos in HD using html5
Amazon Video is playing only in SD using the new html5 player in 47.0.1
Operating System: Windows 7 SP1
Details: I just allowed Firefox to update from 46.0.1, where Amazon videos and movies were playing perfectly in HD in Silverlight. The upgrade to the new browser now has all my video playing in SD. I finally reverted Firefox back to 46 with Silverlight as I could find no solution to this issue, anywhere. I've already trouble shooted all the normal things like internet connection, etc. It is definitely the browser upgrade and html5 that is hosing my HD.
Has anyone else had an issue with Windows 7 and 47.0.1 playing ONLY in SD with the new html5 player? Also, if I must stay on 46, is there a way to get rid of the annoying nag that comes up each and every time I open a video on Amazon? It keeps telling me to upgrade to 47 to stream in HD on html5, but ofcourse all it does is stream SD. Would love to know if there are any solutions, because as much as I hate going back to Chrome, I may have no other choice at this point. I use FF on all of my computers including (2) desktops, (3) laptops and an HTPC.

Thank you for the update.
As for the explanation, I'm not sure what it could be. Possibly the display drivers for your graphics card, or some video decoding feature of Windows, is more fully compatible with 32-bit Firefox than 64-bit Firefox??

Update: I have HD working now on Firefox 47.0.1 streaming Amazon videos. I switched from the 64bit client to the 32bit and now it works as it should, no idea why there would be a difference.
