I use Firefox 34.0. Since 1/1/15, I have been unable to access Outlook.com from MSN's Webpage. I always get an error message saying that the connection was interrupted and has been reset. I have my msn.com and hotmail.com at the Outlook site and would like to get my mail there. I also am unable to access any site using "logon.live". This pretty much encompasses all of Microsofts Support Sites. Anybody heard anything about this or have suggestions about how I can get around the problem? Thanks.

Well, this morning, 1/6/15, Outlook.com is back for me. Nothing I did or you suggested I do worked. The problem was all on Microsoft's end and of course they insisted there was nothing wrong. I appreciate all the assistance y'all gave me. I will be spending a good part of this week moving all my mail to new Gmail accounts. I plan to discontinue any association with Microsoft Webmail. Can't really afford to be without my Webmail for a 5 day stretch. Again, I thank you for your assistance. Bye.

Some added toolbar and anti-virus add-ons are known to cause Firefox issues. Disable All of them.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode {web Link} by holding down the <Shift (Mac Options) > key, and then starting Firefox. Is the problem still there?

Separate Issue; Your System Details shows;

Installed Plug-ins

Adobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in, version 12.0.9.149 Adobe Shockwave for Director Netscape plug-in, version 12.1.2.152

Having more than one version of a program may cause issues.

Grab the uninstaller from here: Uninstall Flash Player | Windows Uninstall Flash Player | Mac Then reinstall the latest version.

I did as suggested, but the problem still persists. I don't know if I mentioned this or not but I have the same problem regardless of whether I use Firefox, Internet Explorer or Google Chrome.

Microsoft is aware of the problem but says it is affecting only a small group of users. That is difficult for me to verify as I cannot access any of Microsoft's support groups as they too utilize "Logon Live". Here is hoping a fix comes soon. I just want to get my mail off of Outlook and lose that particular mail program. I think I hear "Gmail" calling my name. \

No help there either. According to BitDefender and Mbam, I have no malware or virus issues on my PC. I can access all websites except those associated with Microsoft. I have this same problem regardless of which of these browsers I use: Firefox, Internet Explorer or Google Chrome. Also, OS doesn't seem to matter as I have Windows XP, Windows 7 and Windows 8.1 PC's on my Home Network. I appreciate your efforts. Keep on, Keep on.

I once had the same issue with real.com. At one point, I got access by using a free proxy service.

Fred troubleshooted all I can think of. If Microsoft is aware of the issue and it is happening on all browsers.

If you are sure its Firefox because it works on another Firefox installation, you can try to reset Firefox Reset Firefox preferences to troubleshoot and fix problems but I would wait until the support from Microsoft gives an update on the issue and find a temporary email in the meantime or a desktop client to access the email.

Well, here's hoping.

Well, I am in the process of creating two new Gmail accounts, one for my *.msn email and one for my *.hotmail, both accessible through Outlook.com. I am then going to import everything from each into the new accounts. That will give me a month to change all the email addresses to the new Gmail accounts. Once that is complete, it will be "Hasta La Vista, Baby" for Outlook.com from moi. Thanks for the help guys. Apparently, there was no problem on my side, just a BIG PROBLEM on their side. Later.
