Since firefox 26 downloaded I can't access email. It opens a new version of my home page (comcast.net) and says I need to enter password.It's an endless circle

I use the comcast webmail. When I log onto my comcast homepage and try to go to email it just opens another comcast homepage and says I need to log in. If I do that and click on email it does the same thing over and over again. All of my other computers are still on firefox 25 and none of them have this problem. It's a pretty new computer.

This can be caused by corrupted cookies or cookies that are blocked (check the permissions on the about:permissions page).

Clear the cache and cookies only from websites that cause problems.

"Clear the Cache":

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Cached Web Content: "Clear Now"

"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:

  • Firefox/Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"

You may have to enable third-party cookies.

  • Tools > Options > Privacy > Firefox will: "Use custom settings for history"

Called comcast this morning and they said it is a known issue between comcast and firefox 26. they are working on it. Just have to use IE until they get it resolved.
