this is what happened.
Hi Paul,
Looks like your IP triggered a network security alert which blocked it from our servers for a few weeks. This is not a common issue, and who knows if it will -ever- happen again, but if it does, just submit a support ticket from a device on a different network. Perhaps your phone while on 3g.

An error occurred during a connection to www.webstore.com.
i ran a computer diagnostic which told me everything was configured correctly on my end but the site itself is having a problem.
Windows home or pro version? If you're running Windows Pro version, I would test in the Sandbox to confirm. https://www.howtogeek.com/399290/how-to-use-windows-10s-new-sandbox-to-safely-test-apps/
i am running windows 10 home version.
You can do a malware scan, just to be sure.

If clearing Firefox's cookies and cache didn't work, it's probably a sign that there is a problem with the website itself. In that case you'll just have to wait for it to get fixed.
We've mentioned DNS a few times, but I don't see an answer to the question. Who are you using for DNS and what is your network setup? Is there a router or just modem? Can you log into the modem or router and do DNS lookup? Do a DNS check via Firefox. see screenshot Also, what country are you in?
Modified

united states. i live in florida.
IPs 54.86.125.223 HTTP RRs NS_ERROR_UNKNOWN_HOST
this is what my modem is telling me.

Here is what I think. Your default gateway is IPv6, your primary DNS is IPv6, but the site doesn't have IPv6. see screenshot The screenshot if from Netcraft, it provides details about websites. For example, this forum is owned by google and also doesn't offer IPv6. I recently changed my router to IPv6 for S&Gs and could not access this forum. I think if you change your DNS and or modem to IPv4 it should work.
Modified
Or make your primary DNS IPv4. Just tinker with both modem and dns and let us know. We're waiting with bated breathe ;-))
Modified
A nslookup from the command line would also be interesting.
