I recently upgraded one of my Macs to High Sierra, OS 10.13.1. Firefox 56.0.2, upgraded on 10-17-2017, does not open All I get is a bouncing icon. I am sending this via Firefox 56.0.2, using my other Mac, running Maverick. I've changed the default to Firefox with no effect. It won't open. Any solutions out there?

Backup your profile just in case. https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/profiles-where-firefox-stores-user-data Then Uninstall Firefox and delete Mozilla Firefox Folders in C:\Program Files and C:\Program Files(x86). Run a mac Cleanup tool. Reinstall Firefox 56.0.2 is current release https://www.mozilla.org/firefox/all/ Full Version Installer

Note that the OP has this issue on the Mac OS X High Sierra platform.

Try to start Firefox in Safe Mode to see if that works.

  • Windows: hold down the Shift key while starting Firefox
  • Mac: hold down the Options key while starting Firefox

Note that there are still a lot of bug with this latest OS X version.
