I've been using Youtube on Firefox normally for years, but now the videos are only a black screen where the video should be, with nothing else (no play button or anything). They load normally on IE. I tried thinking of something I could have done to provoke this, and the only things I did recently was update Flash and Java (in that order). YT still worked after the Flash update. I tried reinstalling Java but it didn't work. I didn't reinstall Flash because it works fine on other websites so I don't think this is the problem. I also tried disabling hardware acceleration on Flash but it doesn't solve it. Interestingly, the Youtube test video in [http://www.youtube.com/swf_test.html this page] '''does work.''' I also tried whitelisting Youtube on Adblock and disabling Greasemonkey, to no avail. I have run out of good ideas to try. Thanks to whoever can help! edit: Hmm, I changed http:// for https:// in the address bar and the video will load. However I don't want to type this every time. edit2: They suddenly are working again without me having done anything. Guess it was Youtube's issue.
