Dragging and dropping the "padlock" icon from the left of the address bar to your desktop should create a shortcut. Or, highlight the url and drag it to your desktop.
If all else fails, you can copy the URL from the address bar, then right-click the desktop and use these steps: New > Shortcut > paste URL, click Next > Type a name for the shortcut, click Finish.
