Unable to install a certificate (.p12 file). Thunderbird never stops asking me for the password.
Hello,
I'm running Thunderbird 31.5.0 on Windows 8.1. Upon trying to install a certificate (Options -> Advanced -> Certificates -> View Certificates -> Import), the certificate manager prompts me for a password (as expected), which is never accepted. No matter what I type, the password prompt will show up again and thus will never install the certificate. This happens for .p12 as well as .pfx files.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Problem solved. If anyone stumbles on this post, the reason I couldn't get it to work is that it wasn't sufficiently clear that Thunderbird was asking for the master password and not for the password to import the certificate.
If you've set up a master password (recommended), you'll be prompted to enter it (if you haven't already in the same session) before you can import a certificate.

the passwords are case sensitive.... BigPassword, bigpassword and Bigpassword are three different passwords.
Hey Matt,
Thanks for your reply. I'm using a password manager, so capitalization was not messed up.
