I have been trying to change an account to use a different login and server for retrieving mail. But, it keeps logging into the old server.

In Account Settings, for that account, the Server Name: is set to the new server and the User Name: is set to the login on the new server.

I have restarted Thunderbird multiple times.

Any help is appreciated.

It turns out that sometime in the past, whether an update, or moving to a new server, my accounts got duplicated. Once I changed the server name and login in the duplicate account, the login to the new server works.

Although the mail now shows up in what was the duplicated account and does not show up in what was the primary account.

I can live with that.
