The Netflix support rep states that I now need to remove Firefox for 64-bit OS and install 32-bit Firefox, which I don't even think is possible. I have Windows 7 Pro 64-bit. Netflix was working fine until the Microsoft update ran 36 hours ago. Now only Internet Explorer will successfully run Netflix content. I uninstalled and reinstalled Silverlight, restarted my PC, and no dice.

Regarding Firefox 32-bit version, you already have it: Firefox 39 is not available in a 64-bit version, at least not officially.

I think your Silverlight is a different version than mine. Could you visit Microsoft's test page and see whether it says you're good?

http://www.microsoft.com/getsilverlight/get-started/install/default.aspx

Also, what kind of error are you getting when you try to access Netflix in Firefox? Any details would be helpful.

jscher2000, you were quite helpful. When this issue first arose, I uninstalled then downloaded and reinstalled Silverlight, and the problem remained. Today, after getting your feedback, I returned to the Silverlight page on microsoft.com, and that page said the version I had at the time of today's visit was a higher version than what I needed for my browser.

What this indicates to me is that the issue had already come to microsoft's attention, so they flagged the correct version that Firefox requires, or something along these lines. I dunno if this is accurate, but I just logged back into Netflix and didn't get any errors and was able to successfully launch a program.
