Firefox is still crashing too often. This problem has been ongoig for months, and Firefox is not responding to crash reports.
Firefox crashes unexpectedly when loading some pages. It does not crash on specific pages. It will crash unexpectedly on any website.
I have settings set to send reports to Firefox, but I have never received a response or fix.
I tried fixing the problem using the knowledge base. It did not fix the problem.

Sorry, the Mozilla Crash Reporter is not currently used for user support, but rather to collect crash data to improve Firefox.
https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Firefox+crashes#Getting_help_with_your_crash
Type about:crashes in the URL bar and hit Enter.
Click the hyperlinks to bring up the Crash Report pages and copy'n'paste the URL of each of those reports into the message box here. We'll see if we can help you figure out what is causing those crashes to happen.
These are some of the latest crash reports that come up right away. There are crash reports dating back to June of 2010. Do you need them all?

Still waiting for help here.
Well, there's nothing clear that stands out as being the cause of those 4 crashes, all of which have the same signature - JSObject::init(JSClass*, JSObject*, JSObject*, int) We're gonna have to guess about potential solutions, unless someone else here has a better solution.
You do have a large number of Java Console extensions that show as being enabled on the Extensions tab of the first crash report. Unless you are doing Java development and testing your work in Firefox, you don't need any of them enabled at all. My suggestion is to disable all of them, and also disable the Java Quick Start extension, too. See the Tools > Addons > Extensions window to see those extensions and click on each one to be able to acccess the Disable button.
This is the Extension ID for those 8 Java Console extensions.
{CAFEEFAC-0016-0000-00##-ABCDEFFEDCBA} - the version number of each extension is the ## in that string

I disabled all of the Java console extensions last night. This morning Firefox crashed again. It appears to be from the same signature again.

How about disabling the Java Quick Start extension, did you get that one too?
In all 5 of those crash reports gears.dll appears in Thread 3 Frame 2, which makes me wonder why a Google dll is running at all??
Do you have any Google extensions installed? Do you also have the Google Chrome (or Chromium) web browser installed?
Try disabling both of the Google Plugins that appear in Tools > Addons > Plugins.

The "Email me when more information is available" was not at all intended for support like you thought but more for if by chance the devs required some more information.
This section should be removed or renamed better at least as some people have misunderstood it and thought it was for support.
the-edmeis,
I do not have Java Qiuck start. I do not see it on the extensions list. I disabled the google plug-ins also. Had another crash again. I still cannot figure this out. Wuergler, I tried the troubleshooting link you posted, but I don`t understand some things, so I did not try any thing I don`t understand.

I guess the Java Quick Start extension might not be installed on Vista, but its installed by default with Java on WinXP and W2K.
Sorry, I am all out of ideas about possible causes.
Start Firefox in Diagnose Firefox issues using Troubleshoot Mode to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).
- Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
See:
- Troubleshoot extensions, themes and hardware acceleration issues to solve common Firefox problems
- Troubleshoot issues with plugins like Flash or Java to fix common Firefox problems
Do a malware check with some malware scan programs.
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of the database before doing a scan.

I figured out what has been causing mine to crash. After re-starting the computer in safe mode and disabling an add-on from the extensions, one at a time, I found that an add-on I had for an NRA tool bar was causing the crash. So I disabled it permanently. My computer has not crashed for about 2 weeks now. Thank you, the ed-meister, wuergler, and James.
My household has looked at loads of the fixes, thought "Do we really need all this command fiddling?"
The sod it option for wifey was to go Chrome (Sorry, but after years of completely trouble free use, doing this genius upgrade laid waste to favourites, and websites and accumulated everything.)
For me, I couldn't be bothered fixing what is increasingly obviously a complete dog. Have you employed someone from Microsoft? This feels so familiar.
Anyway, I took F4 Beta on XP Home, and it seems to work, even if the "not broke" toolbars have been fixed. I'll be happy when I can get the stupid new refresh button well away from the Home one...
Wifey's Windows 7 Home Prem didn't like F4. Got through a lot of monitors and heavy glass ashtrays (neither of us smoke, but we do like to preserve traditions, missile- and blunt force trauma-wise).

This is not my issue, I am having trouble with google docs, but disabling gears is one of the recommendations. The only thing is I can't find it or the Plug Ins you mention here on my account (I have disabled anything that said Java on it). Please help.
How do you report a plug in crash, I guess you think I am stupid. I am not going to look through miles and miles of posted messages to find this out!!
Congratulations for all the Hard Work. Finally Firefox 4.0 is giving competition to IE by being a resource Hog, slow and Unpredictable browser. FF 4.0 has to take the cake, by being the dumbest of the series. I finally kicked my head and switched to Chrome
